About Dr. Malik

Dr. Malik was born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. He finished his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign followed by his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Malik went on to complete his three year podiatric surgical residency with additional credentials in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. During that time, he was trained extensively in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, managing trauma patients, arthroscopic procedures, sports medicine, and pediatric conditions. He was chosen as chief resident during his training.

Dr. Malik went on to work for Henry Ford Health System under the Orthopedic Department in Detroit after residency and further helped train residents and students in that time, but is excited to return home to be near his family again.

Dr. Malik is well versed in all foot and ankle pathology but has special interest in managing musculoskeletal deformities. He is well trained and experienced in surgical flatfoot reconstruction, ankle arthroscopies, total ankle replacements, rearfoot and forefoot arthritis conservative and surgical management, and bunion management.

Dr. Malik tries to live a healthy lifestyle and stay active on his feet. His goal is to do whatever he can to help relieve his patients foot and ankle pain so he can get them staying active as well.
